This months presentation (Wednesday May 15th) will be titled “Water Quality and the Aquarist” and will focus on many of the water parameters that aquarists are most concerned with such as pH, ammonia, nitrates and nitrites, and more. The presentation is geared to all levels, from beginner to the well-seasoned fishkeeper. Richard J. Rego is past president of TFSRI, the Northeast Livebearers Association, and member of the Board of Governors for the Northeast Council of Aquarium Societies. He speaks throughout the Northeast on several fish and aquarium-related topics. Rick owns South Coast Scientific Scientific books, a business specializing in fish and aquarium books and other pet-related books and periodicals, as well as a full range of other natural science topics.

Hello Members!
This is your nice but firm Membership Chair reminding those who have forgotten that your dues should have been paid in September for the coming year. Well, you are lucky, because our By-laws give you 30 days more to fill out the form and pay your dues. So by October 30th you will no longer be a member!! Oh No! Say it is Not So!! LOL
Please download the attached form at the end of this article to mail your dues to Lori.
Any Officers will be willing at any meeting to take your information and dues, too. Come to the meeting and fill out the form and pay your dues! It really does not hurt.... I do not need to tell you how much you get for the average $25.00 per year. (but heck I will) Pizza and Chinese Food (November 14th meeting is a social with that nice fresh Chinese food). A night out at a restaurant in January with a free raffle with great stuff and not to mention the speakers we bring in and pay for! That is more than any other Society in New England!! So take advantage of this 30 day extra period and get your info out to us and pay us your dues. You make this club how strong it is and you dictate what you want when we vote on ideas. WE NEED YOU to keep us STRONG! Single Voting Membership: $25.00. Single non-voting Membership: $20.00. Family Membership: $30.00. Junior (under 18yrs old) Membership: $ 10.00.
